Tamalanrea-Makassar. Two Inbound students from the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) from the Faculty of Applied Science, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), namely Najwa Binti Abu Hasan and Nadhirah Azzahra Binti Abdul Yazid, presented the progress of industrial internship activities carried out at the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas and several places in Sulawesi. South.
The activity took place starting at 15.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Thursday (9/1/2025).
Starting the activity, Head of the Unhas Forestry Engineering Study Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Halimah Larekeng, S.P., M.P. In his speech, he said that this activity aims to see the progress made by inbound students from UiTM Malaysia.
“Inbound students from Universiti Teknologi Mara presented the progress of industrial internship activities while at the Faculty of Forestry Unhas considering that the implementation of this activity has been going on since October 7 2024 and ends on February 22 2025, so it is important to see how far their activities have progressed,” explained Prof. Halima.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. In his speech, he thanked the Unhas Forestry Engineering Program for implementing this activity to see the progress of industrial internship activities from UiTM students.
“I hope that the industrial internship that is being carried out by inbound students from UiTM will last for approximately 4 months,” said Prof. A. Mujetahid.
After the speech, the activity then continued with a presentation by inbound UiTM students about industrial internship activities which included a visit to the Rammang-Rammang Karst in Maros Regency, sample collection at the KHDTK Educational Forest, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, research at the Biotechnology and Tree Breeding Laboratory at the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas and research at the Research Center of Karst Microbes LPPM Unhas.
Nadhirah Azzahra Binti Abdul Yazid at the end of her presentation said that during the implementation of this activity, many new knowledge and exposure experiences were provided, the opportunity to gain insight into the unique cultural environment of Makassar, highlight the similarities and differences between Malaysian and Indonesian cultures, and foster greater appreciation for the common heritage. and regional diversity.
The activity went smoothly until 17.00 and ended with a group photo session.
