Faculty of Forestry Unhas Distributes Financial Aid and Awards
The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), held a financial aid disbursement ceremony for Student Activity Units (UKM) and presented awards to outstanding students who won gold medals at the 38th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS). The event took place at 1:00 p.m. (WITA) in the Senate Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Monday (December 15, 2025).
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU., Student Affairs Advisor Dian Ayu Lestari Hasanuddin, S.Hut., M.Si., gold medalist of the 38th PIMNAS in the Poster and Presentation category Devlin Arvael Mardianto, as well as the Chair and Secretary of the Student Consultative Assembly (Maperwa). Representatives from student organizations were also present, including Sylva Indonesia PC Unhas, Pandu Alam Lingkungan, Belantara Kreatif Sylva Indonesia PC Unhas, Keluarga Islam Kehutanan (GAMIS), IFSA Local Committee Unhas, and Persekutuan Doa Rimbawan Mahasiswa Kehutanan (PDR-MK).
In his report, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Syamu Rijal, stated that the allocation of 5% of the faculty budget for student activities and achievements had been properly distributed to all student organizations and outstanding students as part of the faculty’s commitment to strengthening support and appreciation.
“The Faculty of Forestry Unhas, through the Academic and Student Affairs Division, is committed to serving and responding positively to all proposals submitted by student organizations, particularly requests for activity funding. Not only organizations, but individual students who participate in competitions also receive financial assistance,” explained Prof. Syamu Rijal.
He further emphasized that this initiative serves as a form of appreciation and support to ensure the smooth implementation of student activities, as well as to enhance student achievements in fulfilling the Faculty’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and improving the Faculty of Forestry Unhas’ ranking at the annual Unhas Student Awards Night.
“We highly appreciate students who achieve accomplishments at local, national, and international levels. Rewards for outstanding students in 2025 have been provided in the form of direct cash transfers to each student’s bank account,” he added.
Meanwhile, in his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Prof. Mujetahid, reaffirmed the faculty’s strong commitment to fully supporting student activities that have a positive impact on the advancement of the Faculty.
“The Faculty of Forestry consistently supports student organizations and provides funding assistance. If student organizations require support for competitions or other activities, we are ready to assist. Every program designed with clear objectives and a positive impact on the faculty’s progress will receive full support,” he stated.
The event concluded with the symbolic handover of financial aid to student organizations and the presentation of awards to the gold medalist of the 38th PIMNAS, followed by an open discussion session and a group photo.
