Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation, and Alumni of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D., received a visit from the Director of Communication and Partnership of the Kehati Foundation, Rika Anggraini, and her entourage for a discussion on the Kehati Foundation’s program collaboration. The event began at 2:00 PM WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Wednesday (10/29/2025).
Present at this activity, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. Head of the Forestry Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Halimah Larekeng, S.P., M.P., Head of the Forestry Science Masters Study Program, Ir. Mukrimin, S.Hut., M.P., Ph.D., Head of the Forestry Science Doctoral Study Program, Prof. Dr. forest. Muhammad Alif KS., S.Hut., M.Si. the Heads of Subdivisions and Heads of Laboratories of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University.
Starting the activity, the Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation and Alumni of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Syahidah, in her remarks expressed her gratitude for the visit of the Director of Communication and Partnership of the Kehati Foundation and her entourage to the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University to discuss collaboration on the Kehati program.
“It is an honor for us to have the Director of Communications and Partnerships of the Kehati Foundation visit to discuss Kehati Foundation programs that could be collaborated and collaborated with the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University. I hope this activity will be the first step in exploring cooperation, followed by the signing of a cooperation agreement,” explained Prof. Syahidah.
The Director of Communication and Partnership of the Kehati Foundation, Rika Anggraini, on this occasion expressed her gratitude to the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, for welcoming and receiving her and her entourage and presented an outline of the profile of the Kehati Foundation and conveyed several Kehati Foundation programs that have the potential to collaborate with the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University.
The Kehati Foundation has been managing environmental grant funds since 1994 and collects and manages funding to be distributed in the form of grants, facilitation, consultation and various other support to support Indonesia’s biodiversity conservation program and its fair and sustainable use.
Several biodiversity programs that have the potential to be collaborated with the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, are forestry ecosystems, agricultural ecosystems, marine ecosystems, biodiversity species conservation programs, biodiversity genetic conservation programs and biodiversity parks.
“One of the Kehati Foundation programs that Unhas Faculty of Forestry students have participated in and successfully secured funding is the Biodiversity Warriors program. I hope that in the future, more Unhas Faculty of Forestry students will participate in this program and, of course, be successful in receiving funding,” explained Rika Anggraini.
Rika Anggraini further stated that she hoped that this meeting would provide many opportunities for collaboration with the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, which would then be followed up with the signing of a cooperation agreement.
The activity ran smoothly until 16.00 WITA and ended with a discussion and group photo.
