The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, emphasized the importance of direct field learning at the graduation ceremony for the 9th wave of PKL 1.

Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) officially released students from carrying out Field Work Practice (PKL) 1 Wave 9. The activity took place starting at 10.00 WITA in the 1st Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Monday (7/7/2025).

This activity was attended by students of the Forestry and Forestry Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, class of 2023.

Kicking off the event, the Head of the Forestry Undergraduate Program at the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Ir. Siti Nuraeni, M.P., in her remarks, stated that students of the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Forestry must have the courage to enter the forest because this is a spirit that will eventually be embedded in you.

“I hope that students at the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, will have a brave spirit because a forester must be brave and tough,” said Nuraeni.

Nuraeni further said that PKL participants should look after each other and work together in completing the tasks and work programs given by the PKL committee.

On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. in his remarks conveyed that PKL 1 participants, wave 9, must make good use of this activity to gain more knowledge and experience directly in the field.

“During the PKL activities, students must follow the instructions of the lecturers and field supervisors, maintain their health and solidarity, and maintain the cleanliness of the place where you carry out field practice, do not litter,” explained Prof. A. Mujetahid.

On this occasion, Prof. A. Mujetahid conveyed the development of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry’s integrity zone towards a corruption-free zone. He also expressed his commitment to rejecting gratification and being free from Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism (KKN).
