Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) through the Department of Forestry is holding an election event for the new chairman of the Forestry Department for the 2024-2028 period. The activity took place starting at 11.30 WITA in the 1st Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Thursday (3/10/2024).
Starting the activities, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P. In his speech he said that the election of the new Department Head was held today because he was waiting for the new OTK to come out regarding the election of the Department Head.
“After the new OTK came out, the election for the head of the Forestry Department for the 2024-2028 period was immediately carried out and I hope that whoever is elected, we will still have to support and help in advancing the Unhas Faculty of Forestry,” explained Dr. A. Mujetahid.
After the welcoming speech, the activity then continued with the process of selecting the Head of the Department. There are two candidates for Chair of the Forestry Department for the 2024-2028 period, namely Dr. Ir. A. Sadapotto, M.P. and Dr. Asrianny, S. Hut., M. Si.
From this selection, Dr. Sadapotto won with the most votes, namely 20 votes, and was elected as Chair of the Forestry Department, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, for a term of office 2024-2028. Meanwhile Dr. Asrianny received 18 votes.
This activity was coupled with the election of members of the Senate of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, delegates from lecturers and there were three candidates, namely Dr. Suhasman, Mukrimin, S.Hut., M.P., Ph.D. and Dr. Ir. Siti Halimah Larekeng, S.P., M.P.
As a result of the election, Mukrimin, S.Hut, M.P., Ph.D. as a member of the lecturer delegate senate with the most votes, namely 26 votes.
The activity went smoothly until 13.30 WITA.
