Release of Wave VII Field Work Practices, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University

Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) through the Bachelor of Forestry and Bachelor of Forestry Engineering study programs held a release event for Field Work Practices (PKL) Wave VII. The activity took place starting at 09.00 WITA in the 1st Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Tamalanrea Makassar, Friday (19/7/2024).

PKL Batch VII, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, was attended by 63 students from the 2021 Forestry and Forestry Engineering Study Program (Prodi), and 38 students from the Forestry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Pattimura University.

Starting the activities of the Head of the Forestry Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Unhas, Dr. Ir. Siti Nuraeni, M.P. In his speech, he said that students from the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, must have the courage to enter the forest because this is a spirit that will be within you.

“I hope that Unhas Forestry Faculty students have a brave spirit because a forester must be brave and tough,” said Nuraeni.

Nuraeni further said that PKL participants were to look after each other and cooperate in completing the tasks and work programs given by the PKL committee.

On the same occasion, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. In his speech he said that one of the activities that PKL participants would carry out in the field was inventory.

“Students at the Unhas Faculty of Life must be able to inventory or measure trees because this ability is very necessary in the world of work. I hope that the PKL participants will implement the knowledge gained in college in the field,” explained Syamsu Rijal.

The activity went smoothly and ended with a group photo session.
