Faculty of Forestry Unhas Hosts Journal Article Writing “Bootcamp” Activity

Bengo-Bengo-Kabupaten Maros. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) through the Forest and Society Research Group in collaboration with the Sebijak Institute UGM, and the East-West Center supported by The Henry Luce Foundation held a Journal Article Writing “Bootcamp” activity in the form of a manuscript workshop. The Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, was the host for this activity.

The activity lasted for 6 (six) days starting from the 9th to June 14 at KHDTK Educational Forest, Bengo-Bengo, Maros Regency.

This activity was attended by 23 researchers from the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Mulawarman University (Unmul), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), State University of the Republic of Indonesia (Unri) and the University of Hawaii.

Each university team came with their own draft article and then went through a discussion process of reviewing and revising the manuscript. They discuss all parts of the scientific work manuscript starting from the title, abstract, introduction, findings, to discussion and conclusions. Overall, this workshop discussed and revised 11 article manuscripts.

This activity is one of a series of “Vulnerable Deltas in Southeast Asia” programs which will take place since 2022.

Several series of activities that have already taken place include an international workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, thematic KKN in the Mahakam Delta area, and an international seminar in Samarinda.
