Tamalanrea-Makassar. Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. received an audience from the Director of the British School of English, Saharuddin Pata, S.S., PGDip. in the context of collaborative development of English Village. The activity took place starting at 13.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Tamalanrea Makassar Campus, Thursday (21/3/2024).
Present at this activity were the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas (Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S. Hut., M.P., IPU.), Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas (Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut ., M.Sc., IPU.), Deputy Dean for Planning, Resources and Alumni, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas (Andang Suryana Soma, S.Hut., M.P., Ph.D.), Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research and Innovation, Faculty Unhas Forestry (Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D.), Management of KHDTK Educational Forest, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas (Chairil A., S.Hut., M.Hut. and Andi Achmad Rizaldy AS., S .Hut., M.Hut.), Director of the British Education Institute, British School of English (Saharuddin Pata, S.S., PGDip) and team.
Starting the activities, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. in his introduction, he said that the initiation of cooperation in building the English Village (Kampung English) was quite important because it would become an English learning space for lecturers and students.
“Having the ability to speak English is an extraordinary advantage because looking at the current conditions in terms of employee recruitment and continuing student studies, one of the requirements is to be fluent in English. Therefore, I hope that the presence of the English Village will be built by the Unhas Forestry Faculty in collaboration with Britain “School of English can make it easier for lecturers and students to be more active in learning and developing English language skills,” said A. Mujetahid.
On this occasion, Director of the British Education Institute, British School of English, Saharuddin Pata, S.S., PGDip. said that it was an honor to be able to collaborate with the Unhas Faculty of Forestry in building an English Village in the Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry Education Forest located in Maros Regency.
“Thank you to the Dean of the Unhas Forestry Faculty and the leadership for entrusting the British School of English to collaborate with the Unhas Forestry Faculty in building the English Village, we will do and provide the best in building the English Village,” said Saharuddin.
Furthermore, the Director of the British Education Institute, the British School of English, said that he and his team would design the package and course fees to be discussed together.
After a joint discussion, it was agreed that the name of the English Village to be built at the KHDTK, Educational Forest, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, was Forest English Camp and would be launched on April 27 2024.
