Faculty of Forestry Unhas Holds SIKOLA 2.0 Upgrading to Strengthen Digital Learning Optimization

The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Hasanuddin organized an Upgrading and Utilization Workshop of the Learning Management System 2.0 (SIKOLA 2.0) on Friday, 13 February 2026, starting at 09.00 WITA at the Senate Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry. The activity involved lecturers and SIKOLA 2.0 administrators as part of the faculty’s commitment to enhancing the quality of digital-based academic services.

The program was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of the forum as a strategic platform to evaluate and improve the implementation of digital learning systems within the faculty.

“This upgrading initiative is essential to identify the common issues faced by lecturers so that we can anticipate them at an early stage. Our motivation from the Academic and Student Affairs Division is to provide the best possible service, particularly in relation to the digital application of SIKOLA,” stated Prof. Syamsu Rijal.

The workshop aimed to optimize the implementation of SIKOLA 2.0 in supporting effective, adaptive, and integrated teaching and learning processes. Through this upgrading session, the faculty encouraged a more comprehensive understanding of system features, technical challenges, and strategies for maximizing its utilization in alignment with academic needs.

Serving as the main speaker was the Director of Educational Transformation and Learning Innovation (Transdiva) of Unhas, Sahriyanti Saad, Ir. Sahriyanti Saad, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. In her presentation, she elaborated on strategies to strengthen the digital learning ecosystem across the university and highlighted the future development direction of SIKOLA 2.0.

According to Dr. Sahriyanti Saad, SIKOLA 2.0 functions not only as a learning administration platform but also as an instrument to improve academic quality in a measurable manner. “Educational transformation is not merely about adopting technology; it requires a shift in mindset in designing meaningful learning experiences for students. SIKOLA 2.0 ensures that the entire process is well-documented, measurable, and aligned with learning outcomes,” she explained.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Forestry Unhas expects to foster stronger synergy among lecturers, administrators, and faculty management in utilizing digital learning systems. The upgrading of SIKOLA 2.0 is anticipated to enhance the effectiveness of academic services, accelerate the resolution of technical issues, and reinforce the faculty’s commitment to delivering excellent, adaptive, and sustainable academic governance.
