The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), officially launched the Gladimula 32 Field Activity organized by the Student Activity Unit (UKM) Pandu Alam Lingkungan (PAL). The activity is scheduled to take place from February 2–8, 2026. The release ceremony was officiated by Abd. Hakim, S.T., Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Subdivision of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, who represented the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, as a form of faculty support for student development and capacity building.
Gladimula 32 is one of the key stages in the cadre formation and recruitment process of new members of UKM Pandu Alam Lingkungan. The program is designed to develop students’ character, mental resilience, and basic outdoor skills. This activity serves as an initial gateway for prospective PAL members to understand the organization’s values, culture, and responsibilities as a student unit focused on field-based activities.
The field activity is conducted at the KHDTK Unhas Educational Forest, which functions as an open learning space as well as a field laboratory for students of the Faculty of Forestry. The location was strategically selected to support the direct application of outdoor knowledge in real environmental conditions.

Throughout the program, Gladimula 32 participants will engage in a series of activities emphasizing the practical application of outdoor skills, including land navigation, terrain recognition, and outdoor expedition management. These competencies are considered essential for members of UKM Pandu Alam Lingkungan in carrying out field activities safely and responsibly.
In his remarks, Abd. Hakim, S.T. highlighted that Gladimula is not solely focused on improving technical skills, but also on fostering discipline, teamwork, and leadership among students. He expressed his hope that all participants would take part in the activity earnestly while maintaining the good reputation of the Faculty and Hasanuddin University during the field program.
Through the implementation of Gladimula 32, UKM Pandu Alam Lingkungan is expected to produce new members who are not only physically resilient, but also environmentally conscious, and capable of representing the Faculty of Forestry Unhas as active, responsible, and nature-oriented students.
