Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), through the Academic and Student Affairs Division, is carrying out activities to prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The activity took place starting at 08.30 WITA in the Innovate Unhas Hotel and Convention Room, Makassar, Saturday (15/2/2025).
Starting the activity, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the presence of the SOP drafting team at this activity, and said that this activity aims to complete the preparation of SOPs for Academic and Student Affairs considering that in carrying out lectures and activities related to academics and student affairs, SOPs are needed.
“In improving academic and student services, it is necessary to have SOPs as a reference or guide for lecturers, staff and students in carrying out lectures and other activities,” explained Prof. Syamsu Rijal.
On this occasion, Chair of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Group, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Astuti, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. in his introduction, he said that this SOP is quite important considering that in developing an integrity zone, SOPs for activities and services are needed.
“In preparing the SOP, it is important to integrate it with the needs for building an integrity zone, remembering that SOP documents are really needed in building an integrity zone for the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University. “And we all need to know that the current SOP format is much simpler than previous SOPs,”
Prof. Astuti also explained the new SOP format which was used as a reference in preparing SOPs for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas.
The preparation of SOPs for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, took place over two days, namely from 5 to 12. February 6, 2025.
