Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), held a coordination meeting to prepare for the re-accreditation of the undergraduate programs in Forestry Engineering, Forest Conservation, and Forestry Science. The meeting began at 10:00 a.m. WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Thursday (January 8, 2026).
This meeting was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. and attended by the vice deans, the head and secretary of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Improvement Group and the heads of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral study programs.
This activity is a very important initial step in preparing all documents and supporting evidence for the Re-Accreditation process of the Forestry Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Forest Conservation Undergraduate Program, and Forestry Science Doctoral Program which will be submitted to the Unhas Quality Assurance and Education Development Institute (LPMPP).
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. emphasized that Re-Accreditation is not just an administrative formality, but also a means of evaluation and reflection on the quality of higher education implementation within the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University.
“Re-accreditation is a crucial opportunity to ensure that all academic processes, research, community service, and study program governance are fully compliant with national higher education standards. We must work systematically, collaboratively, and measurably to achieve optimal results,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, in his address.
In addition to discussing technical aspects, the meeting also emphasized the importance of a collaborative work culture between leaders, lecturers, and education staff to ensure the effective preparation of accreditation documents and asked them to play an active role in providing data and reporting on academic activities.
At the conclusion of the activity, the team agreed to establish a Core Re-Accreditation Team, which will be responsible for data collection, validating supporting evidence, and preparing primary and supporting documents. The meeting also produced a monitoring and evaluation schedule to ensure all targets are achieved on time.
“With a spirit of cooperation and determination to provide the best, the three study programs that will undergo re-accreditation are committed to achieving Excellent Accreditation results,” explained Prof. A. Mujetahid.
