Two students from the Forestry Engineering Study Program (Prodi) of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), namely Sakila Agus Salim, 1st Place as Best Presenter and Zulkifly Arjuna, 2nd Place as Best Presenter at the 2024 National Seminar on Research Innovation for Indonesian Forestry Students II in 2024 organized by the Department of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture, University Mataram.
This activity carries the theme “Resilient Foresters in Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change through Sustainable Forest Resource Management” and takes place in a hybrid manner, namely online via zoom meeting and offline at the Unram Forestry Study Program Building, Saturday (9/11/2024).
The national seminar on research innovation for Indonesian forestry students II in 2024 was attended by several forestry students from all over Indonesia. This year, two students from the Forestry Engineering Study Program, namely Sakila Agus Salim and Zulkifly Arjuna, succeeded in becoming the best presenters in the field of forest product technology.
Sakila Agus Salim presented the results of research entitled “Quality of Red Jabon Fiber (Neolamarckia Macrophylla) Based on Kinship Relationships from Three Prevenances in South Sulawesi”.
Meanwhile, Zulkifly Arjuna presented the results of his research entitled “Biodegradation Rate of Bioplastics Based on Crystallinity of Corn Cobs and Acacia Wood”.
Through an interview on Friday (15/11) with Dr. Andi Detti Yunianti, S.Hut., M.P. (Supervisor) said that this activity could provide students with the opportunity to present the results of their research on a national scale.
