Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) through the Academic and Student Affairs Division held a Workshop on Tips for Success in Achieving PIMNAS Gold: Steps to Success for High Achieving Students. The activity took place starting at 10.00 WITA in the 1st Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Saturday (26/10/2024).
Starting the activity, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., in his speech expressed his gratitude for the presence of resource persons at this activity to share tips or steps in achieving achievements at PIMNAS.
“It is an honor for us to present one of the accompanying lecturers who has achieved many achievements at PIMNAS, Drg. Nursyamsi. I hope that the material presented can provide motivation and enthusiasm for students from the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, to take part in PKM as a first step in being able to take part in PIMNAS,” explained Prof. . A. Mujetahid.
Furthermore, Prof. A. Mujetahid said that he hoped that the students of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, could make good use of this opportunity, take and implement tips for successfully qualifying and winning medals at the 38th PIMNAS event and in subsequent years.
Prof. A. Mujetahid said that Unhas Faculty of Forestry students who pass PIMNAS and win medals will receive coaching assistance, free thesis and free UKT payments for 2 semesters.
Present as a resource person was Drg. Nursyamsi, M. Kes. (Assistant Lecturer at PIMNAS FKG Unhas). Presenting material with the theme Tips for Becoming a Truly Champion. The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an effort to grow, accommodate and realize students’ creative and innovative ideas.
“The basic thing that we have to do when starting PKM is to choose a team that is friends or willing to collaborate, is hardworking, not selfish, not too busy, responsible and focused because this makes the PKM process run well,” said Drg. Nursyamsi.
Some tips for a successful PKM proposal are creative unit ideas, quality proposals, zero mistake proposals, accompanying lecturers and students who have passion and are very militant. The ideas produced or created must have the values of creativity, innovation, originality, novelty, appropriate use and up to date.
Several characteristics of PKM are categorized as quality if the editorial title is attractive, strong background, specific goals, real benefit value, holistic methods, comprehensive RAB and implementation schedule, up to date and systematic literature and 100 percent compliant format.
Also present at the activity was one of the students from the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Restu Ananda Amelia, Forestry Engineering Study Program, class of 2022, who joined the team from the Faculty of Nursing, Unhas, which won a silver medal in the presentation category at the 37th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) at Airlangga University. Inspirational stories and tips for passing PIMNAS to all workshop participants.
This activity was attended by 200 students and ran smoothly until 12.00 WITA.
