Desa Bissoloro-Kabupaten Gowa. The Executive Board of the Sylva Indonesia Forestry Student Family (PC.) Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held community service activities in the form of training and assistance in tourism development with social media and rebranding of superior commodities in Bissoloro Village, Gowa Regency. The activity took place starting at 11.00 WITA at the Bissoloro Village Office, Gowa Regency, Saturday (12/10/2024).
Starting the activities, the Head of Bissoloro Village, Abdul Rahim, in his speech expressed his thanks and appreciation for the implementation of community service activities regarding tourism development through social media and rebranding of superior commodities in Bissoloro Village, Gowa Regency.
“I can only express my highest sense of pride and appreciation for the students of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, in this case BE Kemahut SI (PC.) UNHAS, who have initiated and carried out this activity to help us increase tourism at KPH Jeneberang, Gowa Regency, because I don’t have the ability to empower and increase capacity in this region through social media,” said Abdul Rahim.
Furthermore, Abdul Rahim said that he hopes that the activities and plans to increase tourism in Bissoloro Village will be made easier by Allah and will receive support from the local government. I really hope that Bissoloro Village officials can make good use of this activity and back up and support the Unhas Faculty of Forestry program.
On the same occasion, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. In his speech, he said that this activity is a student development program which is held twice a year or per semester. Representing the leadership of the Unhas Forestry Faculty, we really support student activities in helping the community in increasing tourism in Bissoloro Village.
“The theme of the activity carried out by students from the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, is quite interesting, seeing that there is a lot of potential that can be developed and introduced in Bissoloro Village through social media. There are many social forestry and tourism permits in Bissoloro Village that we can be proud of, apart from being located in the middle of the city, they also receive support from the Forestry Service,” explained Prof. Syamsu Rijal.
Furthermore, Prof. Syamsu Rijal said that he hopes that through this activity the superior commodities in Bissoloro Village can be better known to the wider community through social media because a shortcut in introducing something is by utilizing social media and tourism in Bissoloro Village can be better known to more people.
Chairman of BE Kemahut SI (PC.) Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Muhammad Tegar Rafiadi, in his speech expressed his thanks to the Head of Bissoloro Village and his staff who had given permission to carry out community service activities.
“Thank you also to all the fellow administrators and volunteers who have helped so that this activity can run well. I hope that this activity can be a whip and the first step in establishing collaboration between the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas and Bissoloro Village and I hope that through this activity the place “tourism in Bissoloro Village could be better known to many people,” said Tegar.
After the speech, the activity then continued with the presentation of material from the resource person, namely, Nita Nurhalifah who presented material about content creators and Hardiono who presented material related to the management of tourist attractions.
