Tamalanrea-Makassar. Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. officially released the students of the Forestry Engineering Study Program to carry out the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) Internship and Certified Independent Study (MSIB), MBKM Seameo Biotrop and MBKM YAKU-PAYOPAYO Consortium. The activity took place starting at 10.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Monday (26/8/2024).
A total of 20 students from the Forestry Engineering Study Program will carry out MBKM in three places, namely, 8 MBKM MSIB students at the Directorate of Environment (DLH) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), 4 students at Seameo Biotrop and 8 MBKM students from the YAKU-PAYOPAYO Consortium in North Toraja.
Head of the Forestry Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Dr. Ir. Siti Halimah Larekeng, S.P., M.P., in her speech congratulated the 20 MBKM participants who had successfully passed and would carry out MBKM for one semester or six months.
“Congratulations to the 20 students who have passed the selection for the MBKM program, I hope you can make good use of this opportunity to gain more knowledge and experience in the field,” explained Halimah.
Halimah further said that the MBKM program is very good for honing your skills in the field and as a place to learn to implement in the field the knowledge you have gained in class.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. In his speech he said that while carrying out MBKM, students must maintain the good name of the Unhas alma mater and it is hoped that students can use their free time to continue studying the lecture material that has been provided in the SIKOLA application.
“You need to know and instill in yourself that an internship is not something you can use as an escape to avoid studying in class, but instead use an internship as a place of learning to hone your competencies and abilities directly in the field. We hope that you can take advantage of the opportunity this well,” explained A. Mujetahid
A. Mujetahid further said that he hopes that students will optimize the MBKM program well to improve their abilities and gain more knowledge and experience which is of course beneficial for everyone.
Also present at this activity were the MBKM Coordinator of the Forestry Engineering Study Program, Iswanto, S.Hut., M.Sc., the MBKM Representative of the YAKU-PAYOPAYO Consortium, Muhamad Bisa Akzad, S.Hut. and Lecturer in the Forestry Engineering Study Program, Gusmiaty, S.P., M.P.
The activity went smoothly until 12.00 and ended with a group photo session.
