Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a socialization activity regarding the Provisions for Promotion of Lecturer Academic Positions. The activity took place starting at 11.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Tuesday (4/6/2024).
Starting the activities, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the presence of the resource person at this activity to socialize the provisions for promotion to lecturer academic positions.
“Thank you for the presence of resource persons at this activity. I hope that through this activity it will be easier for each lecturer to be promoted,” said Mujetahid.
Present as a resource person, Amra Tambung, S.Sos., M.AP. presenting material related to matching and updating data as well as managing the academic career performance of lecturers within the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University.
The legal basis for matching and updating lecturer data is contained in article 1 paragraph (2), article 1 paragraph (3) and article 45. Article 45 explains that lecturers are required to have academic qualifications, competencies, teaching certificates, be physically and spiritually healthy, and meet the qualifications other requirements required by the higher education unit in which they are assigned, as well as having the ability to realize national education goals.
Some of the requirements for promotion to a lecturer’s academic position are, updating lecturer profile data, fulfilling lecturer performance, fulfilling supporting documents and fulfilling special requirements and additional requirements for promotion to a higher academic level.
“Lecturers ensure that lecturer profile data at SISTER and PDDIKTI are up to date before applying for promotion. As a condition for promotion to academic positions, lecturers must meet lecturer performance,” explained Amra.
Fulfillment of lecturer performance includes having M (Meet) performance for at least the last 4 (four) semesters while serving in the current academic position and preparing documentary evidence of performance fulfillment as outlined in credit figures.
After the presentation of the material, the activity was continued with a joint discussion. It went smoothly until 13.00 WITA.
