Tamalanrea-Makassar. Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. accompanied by the leadership received a comparative study group from the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM). The activity took place starting at 09.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Makassar Campus, Monday (6/5/2024).
Present at this activity were the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. (Dean), Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs), Andang Suryana Soma, S.Hut., M.P., Ph.D. (Deputy Dean for Planning, Resources and Alumni), Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research and Innovation), Chair and Secretary of the Quality Assurance Group as well as temporary Chairs of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Study Programs from the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University who attended were Dr. Trisnu Satriadi, S.Hut., M.Si. (Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. Badaruddin, S.Hut., M.P. (Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance), Yuniarti, S.Hut., M.Sc. (Head of the Forestry Study Program) and his entourage.
Starting the activities, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. In his speech, he welcomed and expressed his thanks for the presence of the ULM Forestry Faculty group at the Unhas Forestry Faculty. Dr. A. Mujetahid conveyed in general the description and advantages of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University
“The position of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry in the 2024 Scimago Institution Rankings based on Forestry Subject is in 4th place nationally, in Asia it is in 102nd position and in the world it is in 377th position,” explained Dr. A. Mujetahid.
Dr. A. Mujetahid said that another advantage of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry is that it has and manages 2 journals that have been indexed by Scopus, namely the Forest and Society Journal and the Wallacea Forestry Research Journal.
“Thank you to the group from the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University for coming to the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, I hope that all the information needed to help with the preparation process for superior accreditation of the ULM Faculty of Forestry’s forestry study program can be obtained for implementation,” explained Dr. A. Mujetahid.
On the same occasion, Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University, Dr. Badaruddin, S.Hut., M.P. In his introduction, he conveyed the aim of this comparative study and expressed his thanks to the Dean and leadership of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, who had well received the ULM Faculty of Forestry group.
“Our aim in conducting a comparative study at the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, is to learn about curriculum reconstruction, international classes, quality assurance units, journal management, guidance of student activities and management of Master of Forestry as material for preparation for superior accreditation of the ULM Faculty of Forestry’s Bachelor and Master of Forestry study programs,” explained Dr. Badaruddin.
Dr. Badaruddin said that he hopes that through this comparative study, information can be obtained that can facilitate and help the superior accreditation process for undergraduate and postgraduate forestry study programs at the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University.
Not only that, through this comparative study it is hoped that information can also be obtained about the timely completion of studies by students from the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, which can help students from the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University to complete on time.
After the speech, the activity then continued with the presentation of material from the Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, the Chair of the Quality Assurance Group and the Heads of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Study Programs regarding the need for preparation for superior accreditation of undergraduate and postgraduate Forestry study programs, Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University.
