Pokhara-Nepal. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) sent three student representatives from the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the International Forestry Students’ Association Local Committee of Hasanuddin University (IFSA LC UNHAS) to take part in the 2024 Asia Pacific Regional Meeting in Pokhara, Nepal.
This activity is a routine activity that is held every year and lasts for one week from the 5th to the 5th. May 11, 2024.
The three students from the Faculty of Forestry are Afifah Afra Utari (Forestry Engineering Study Program), Muhammad Dien Usman (Forestry Engineering Study Program) and Djaelani Batara Wali (Forestry Study Program).
Through an interview on Saturday (25/5/2024) Muhammad Dien Usman explained that the Asia Pacific Regional Meeting (APRM) is an annual IFSA Asia Pacific regional event held to gather local committee members of the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) in the Asia region Pacific.
“The local Asia Pacific Committee routinely sends delegates to take part in the APRM every year,” explained Dien.
Dien further said that the delegates who gathered were involved in workshops, sharing the latest knowledge in forestry research and innovative practices as well as being part of the celebration of cultural diversity to foster relationships between delegates from various backgrounds.
