Some causes of wood damage are weather, fungi, termites and beetles. Signs of wood damage caused by dry wood termites are the presence of mounds of fecal pellets 1 mm long where the ends form a square 6 and the depressed sides are concave while signs of wood damage caused by subterranean termites are the presence of skelter tubes or tunnels built by termites on the foundation. walls, in gaps between structures or in affected wood.
