Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry at Hasanuddin University held a limited meeting to discuss the number of prospective new students (Maba) to be accepted for the 2026/2027 academic year, which is 480 undergraduate students (S1). The meeting began at 10:00 a.m. WITA in the Senate Meeting Room on the second floor of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Thursday (January 8, 2026).
The meeting was chaired directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. and attended by the vice deans, the head and secretary of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Improvement Group and the heads of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral study programs.
There are 3 (three) undergraduate study programs at the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, and each has prepared a quota for new students, namely 300 people for the Forestry Study Program, 100 people for the Forestry Engineering Study Program, and 80 people for the Forest Conservation Study Program, which will be accepted simultaneously in the 2026/2027 academic year.
The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU, explained that the meeting aimed to guide the heads of study programs in directly communicating new student quotas. He emphasized that determining the capacity is not only about quantity but also takes quality into account.
“The established capacity has of course been calculated based on facilities and the lecturer-to-student ratio,” said Prof. A. Mujetahid.
Furthermore, Prof. A. Mujetahid emphasized that the quota for new students in each study program has been taken into consideration from various aspects, both in terms of the availability of facilities, especially study rooms, as well as the readiness of the lecturers.
The official entrance selection for the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, for the undergraduate program (S1) is through 3 selection paths, namely:
1. SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement) Pathway;
2. SNBT (National Selection Based on Test) Path;
3. Independent Selection Path.
