Morning Briefing of the Faculty of Forestry: Strengthening Integrity Zone and Performance Evaluation toward Global Ranking Improvement

The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, held a Morning Briefing with administrative staff on Monday, 9 February, at the Lobby of the Faculty of Forestry. The activity was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU., as part of strengthening the collective commitment to the development of the Integrity Zone.

In his remarks, the Dean emphasized the vital role of administrative staff as the front line in supporting professional, transparent, and accountable academic and non-academic services. The implementation of the Integrity Zone, he stated, should not merely focus on administrative compliance, but must be embedded as a work culture consistently applied across all units, including community service (PPM).

On the same occasion, the Head of Administrative Affairs of the Faculty of Forestry, Ruth Eppi Lobo, S.Sos., M.M., highlighted the importance of synergy and work discipline among all administrative staff in supporting the faculty’s strategic targets. She stressed that commitment to the Integrity Zone must be reflected through improved service quality, orderly administration, and adherence to established standard operating procedures.

The Morning Briefing also served as a forum for performance evaluation and reflection on various ongoing processes within the faculty. This evaluation is expected to serve as a foundation for continuous improvement in enhancing governance quality across the faculty.

The Dean stated that the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, has successfully achieved a position in the 251–300 range of the QS World University Rankings by Subject in Agriculture and Forestry. This achievement represents the collective efforts of academic staff, researchers, and administrative personnel.

Furthermore, the Dean reaffirmed that the Faculty of Forestry must continue striving to become one of the best faculties by strengthening academic quality, research excellence, and community engagement. “We hope that all ongoing processes and evaluations can serve as strategic references for future ranking improvements. Achieving a position in the 201–250 range would be an extraordinary accomplishment for us,” he stated.

Through this Morning Briefing, the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Integrity Zone across all sectors and enhancing institutional performance to further improve the faculty’s reputation at both national and global levels.
