Signing of Performance Contracts Between Deans and the Rector: A Commitment to Achieving IKU 2026 Targets

Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held the signing ceremony of the 2026 performance contracts between the Deans and the Rector of Unhas. The event took place at 4:00 p.m. WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Monday (26 January 2026).

The activity was led directly by the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., and was accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Development, and Finance, Prof. Subehan, S.Si., M.Pharm.Sc., Ph.D., Apt., as well as the University Secretary, Prof. Ir. Sumbangan Baja, M.Phil., Ph.D.

In his remarks, Rector Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa emphasized the importance of faculty leadership paying close attention to educational efficiency, particularly in identifying students who may require a longer time to complete their studies.

“Deans need to personally monitor and identify students who are at risk of delayed graduation, as this can significantly affect the achievement of educational efficiency indicators,” he stated.

The Rector also stressed the need to evaluate performance indicators that have not yet been achieved and encouraged each faculty to develop appropriate strategies to ensure that all performance targets can be met optimally.

In an interview, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU., explained that the signing of the performance contract aims to measure faculty performance over a one-year period and serves as a reference for setting performance targets for 2026.

“Most of the Faculty of Forestry’s performance indicators in 2025 were achieved with very satisfactory results, including the number of foreign lecturers. We recorded 13 foreign lecturers, exceeding the target of 12, and 102 inbound students compared to the target of 12 students,” Prof. Mujetahid explained.

He further noted that the strategic steps taken by the Faculty of Forestry to achieve these targets included strengthening international collaboration networks with reputable overseas universities through joint research initiatives and Thematic Research Groups (TRG) involving foreign lecturers.

According to Prof. Mujetahid, the performance achievements of the Faculty of Forestry are the result of strong collaboration among the Dean, Vice Deans, GPMPR, study programs, and the entire academic community, all of whom are committed to achieving performance targets, particularly for 2026. He also emphasized that continuous socialization will be carried out so that all components of the Faculty of Forestry share responsibility and actively contribute to achieving the established performance targets.
