Faculty of Forestry Unhas Strengthens Administrative Staff Performance through Evaluation and Moves Toward a Plastic-Free Faculty

The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), held an Administrative Staff Performance Evaluation Meeting on Wednesday, 28 January 2026. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, the Head of Administrative Affairs, and all administrative staff members. This activity served as a forum to evaluate staff performance while reinforcing a shared commitment to improving the quality of academic and non-academic services within the faculty.

The first agenda focused on evaluating the performance of administrative staff, particularly related to work discipline and compliance with daily reporting systems. The faculty reaffirmed the obligation to complete daily activity journals through Google Forms and on-time attendance records, which will be evaluated at the end of each month. These evaluations will serve as the basis for performance monitoring and consideration in the payment of salaries and incentives.

The Head of Administrative Affairs of the Faculty of Forestry, Ruth Eppi Lobo, S.Sos., M.M., emphasized that discipline and administrative order are key factors in improving performance. “Daily journal entries must reflect all work activities in accordance with each staff member’s duties and functions, including additional tasks assigned by leadership. This is essential to ensure that staff performance is measurable, transparent, and accountable,” she stated. She also highlighted the importance of fostering a more professional work culture.

The second agenda discussed the preparation of Employee Performance Targets (SKP) as well as the mandatory reporting of LHKPN and LHKASN in accordance with each staff member’s employment status. These reports must be submitted no later than 9 February 2026 and constitute an important component in fulfilling the Evaluation Work Sheet (LKE) documents for the development of the Faculty’s Integrity Zone.

In his address, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU., emphasized that administrative staff play a strategic role in achieving the Faculty’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU). “The IKU targets are not solely the responsibility of the leadership, but a shared responsibility. Administrative staff are expected to support services with responsibility, loyalty, and sincerity through the MARIKI values—serving with integrity, sincerity, friendliness, commitment, and professionalism,” he stressed.

Furthermore, the Dean conveyed the Faculty of Forestry’s commitment toward the launch of a plastic-free faculty, including the provision of drinking water for all members of the academic community and faculty guests, while prioritizing the use of tumblers at all activities. “We want change to begin with daily habits. In addition, the achievement of QS World University Rankings by Subject in Agriculture and Forestry at the 251–300 position must continue to be promoted and displayed at every faculty event, including through the use of videotrons as part of strengthening the institution’s image,” he explained.

As a follow-up to service improvement efforts, the Dean also stated that starting next week, each head of sub-division will play an active role in every evaluation forum. Each will be required to present service conditions, identified issues, received complaints, and the solutions implemented or planned in response. Through this coordination meeting, the Faculty of Forestry Unhas expects to strengthen synergy between leadership and administrative staff in delivering professional, accountable, and integrity-driven services, while supporting the development of the Faculty’s Integrity Zone.
