Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Department of Forestry, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University held Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activities to optimize the use of the Academic Management System (SIKOLA) for Teaching Personnel Lecturers (Tendik). The activity took place starting at 09.00 WITA in the 1st Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Monday (10/2/2025).
Starting the activity, Head of the Forestry Department, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Dr. Ir. A. Sadapotto, M.P., in his speech said that this activity aims to help lecturers and staff, in this case the admin, in optimizing the use of SIKOLA considering that this system is not only for attendance but also for assessing student assignments.
“Through SIKOLA we can make it easier for lecturers to check student assignments and assist in the learning process from planning, implementation to evaluating the learning process,” explained A. Sadapotto.
A. Sadapotto further said that all processes in SIKOLA will be well documented so that the results can be used as material for study programs, in this case the accreditation process, especially Forest Conservation and Forestry Engineering study programs which are still well accredited.
On the same occasion, the Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, in his speech expressed his thanks to the resource persons for their presence in this activity to deliver material about optimizing the use of SIKOLA 2.0
“This activity is quite important to increase the capacity of lecturers’ resources to support learning, in this case using SIKOLA as best as possible, even though this semester we have used SIKOLA in the learning process, it needs to be optimized so that its use can be one hundred percent,” explained Prof. Syamsu Rijal.
Prof. Syamsu Rijal said that SIKOLA makes the teaching and learning process quite easy, one of which is the feature of giving quizzes, in this system the quizzes will automatically open themselves and students can access them without needing to be monitored.
Present as a resource person, Head of the Sub-directorate of Learning Technology and Innovation, Unhas, Dr. Hendra, S.Si., M.Kom. delivered material about optimization. The data collection flow in using SIKOLa 2.0 is creating/repairing RPS, synchronizing RPS with classes, completing material and assessments, copying material for parallel classes, synchronizing schedules and participants, carrying out lectures and providing assessments.
