Kabupaten Maros. The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P. officially closed the XLVIII Forester Work and Night Camp (PKMR) activities. The activity took place starting at 20.30 Wira at the PKMR KHDTK Educational Forest Field, Maros Regency, Friday (26/6/2025).
The PKMR XLVIII activities have been running for 7 (seven) days and were attended by approximately 400 students from the 2024 class of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas.
Starting the activity, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsu Rijal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. in his remarks expressed his gratitude to all parties who had helped, especially the leadership of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, the committee, the Medical Assistance Team (TBM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, and sponsors in this case PT. Vale and PT. Pegadaian so that this activity could run smoothly.
“I hope this activity will enhance the knowledge and experience of PKMR XLVIII participants, which will certainly be different from students from other faculties. This activity is one of the requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s degree in forestry,” explained Prof. Jay.
Prof. Jay said that this activity certainly has a moment to achieve and hopefully throughout the PKMR activity everyone is healthy and safe tonight you will be confirmed as foresters who will be responsible for maintaining and protecting the forest.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. in his remarks expressed his gratitude to the participants of PKMR XLVIII for participating in this activity well and in a united manner between the participants and the committee so that this activity could run smoothly.
“To anticipate the costs incurred by students, after this activity, a committee will immediately be formed for PKMR XLIX so that we can more quickly find sponsors who can help with this activity,” explained Prof. Mujetahid.
Furthermore, Prof. Mujetahid said that the PKMR performance this time was quite good, the participants were very creative and interesting.
After the remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, officially confirmed the participants of PKMR XLVIII and closed this activity.
