Tamalanrea-Makassar. Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University (UB) and Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) have agreed to establish cooperation in the fields of education, research and community service. The agreement was stated in the signing of a cooperation agreement signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, UB, represented by Dr. Rina Rachmawati, S.P., M.P., M.Eng. and the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU.
The activity took place starting at 15.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Tuesday (27/5/2025).
Present at this activity from the Faculty of Forestry Unhas were Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P. (Dean), Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsu RIjal, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs), Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation and Alumni), Head of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study Programs, present from the Faculty of Agriculture UB were Dr. Rina Rachmawati, S.P., M.P., M.Eng., and Dr. Lenny Sri Nopriani, S.P., M.P., LSN. and from PT. Supa Surya Niaga, S. Kris. and M. Rally Y.
Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. in his speech said that he welcomed this collaboration which aims to utilize the resources owned by both parties to synergize in implementing activities in the fields of education, research and community service.
“I hope this collaboration can run well and of course can provide positive income for both parties. Collaboration between the Faculty of Agriculture UB and the Faculty of Forestry Unhas which includes research, joint seminars, guest lecturer activities, student exchanges, student internships, joint community service and joint publications. Joint publications,” explained Prof. A. Mujetahid.
Furthermore, Prof. A. Mujetahid said that in achieving good rankings on a national and international scale, a collaborative network is very necessary, the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas is ready to collaborate with anyone and in any form.
Dr. Rina Rachmawati, S.P., M.P., M.Eng. in her speech expressed her gratitude to the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University and his staff who had welcomed her arrival and this cooperation.
“I think this collaboration is very important, especially student mobility or students who study outside the campus is an interesting need to be explored. I hope that in the future collaboration by research and community service will be more closely established,” said Rina Rachmawati.
The event went smoothly until 16.30 and ended with a group photo session.
