Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) through the Partnership, Research, Innovation and Alumni Division held a workshop on the formation of a Thematic Research Group (TRG). The activity took place starting at 13.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Wednesday (2/10/2024).
Starting the activities of the Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation and Alumni of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the presence of the resource person at this activity and said that this activity aims to provide enlightenment and information about TRG.
“Thank you for the presence of the resource persons at this activity, I hope that through this workshop I can provide enlightenment, help and guide our lecturers in increasing the amount and quality of thematic research through the TRG program,” said Syahidah.
Furthermore, the Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation and Alumni of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas hopes that after this activity the TRG Team of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas can increase and become more numerous.
Present as a resource person, Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Unhas, Prof. Ir. Suharman Hamzah, S.T., MT., Ph.D. (Eng). and Secretary of the Publication Management Center (PMC) Unhas, Prof. Andi Dirpan, STP., M.Sc., Ph.D.
Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Unhas, Prof. Ir. Suharman Hamzah, S.T., MT., Ph.D. (Eng). delivered material with the theme “Guidelines for Proposing Integrated Multi Program for Academic Triumph (IMPACT)”.
“Some of the inputs that will be obtained from the TRG program are seed funds, funding from DAPT, being able to bring Unhas into the World Class University (WCU) program, increasing IKU achievements, and getting facilitation for the use of integrated laboratories. Meanwhile the output of this program is increasing QS, Webometrics and UI Greenmetric,” explained Prof. Suharman.
The output of assistance in establishing TRG is a Decree (SK) establishing TRG based on verified proposals and a TRG website in English and with the domain unhas.ac.id
On this occasion, Secretary of the Publication Management Center (PMC) Unhas, Prof. Andi Dirpan, STP., M.Si., Ph.D. brought material about the technicalities of submitting proposals through the TRG program, and directly helped lecturers how to submit proposals on the TRG website.
After presenting the material, the activity then continued with a group discussion, which went smoothly until 16.00 WITA and ended with a group photo.
