Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), through the Partnership, Research and Innovation Sector, held a meeting with the Eight Integrated Implementation Units of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (UPT KLHK) to discuss the Terms of Reference for Cooperation (KAK). The activity took place starting at 11.00 WITA in the 1st Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Monday (5/2/2024).
The eight KLHK UPTs are the Center for Watershed Management and Forest Rehabilitation, the Center for Sustainable Forest Management Region Sulawesi Regional Environmental and Forestry Law, Makassar State Forestry Vocational School and Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park Hall.
Starting the activity, Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research and Innovation, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. In his speech he expressed his gratitude for the presence of the head of the UPT KLHK hall or his representative. This activity aims to prepare Terms of Reference for Cooperation (KAK) between the Faculty of Forestry and eight UPTs within the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
“This activity is very important because in the framework of the cooperation reference it will describe and explain the activities that will be carried out in accordance with the duties and functions of the institution that will be included in the cooperation document,” Syahidah explained.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU. In his speech, he said that preparing the Terms of Reference for Cooperation (KAK) is very important before signing the cooperation so that the program to be collaborated can be clearer and more structured.
“The preparation of the KAK is an important part in preparing cooperation documents because through the KAK we can communicate and discuss the programs that will be collaborated in accordance with the position of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas and UPT KLHK,” said A. Mujetahid.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, hopes that through collaboration between the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas and several UPT KLHK, many students will be able to carry out internships, both independent internships and MBKM internships at every UPT within the scope of KLHK.
The activity went smoothly until 13.00 WITA and ended with a group discussion.
