Tamalanrea-Makassar. Coordinator of the Innovation Center for Non-Wood Forest Products (NTFPs) Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. Baharuddin, M.P. accompanied by the Head of Subdivision. Planning, Resources and Alumni (Abdul Ishak, S.Sos.) and Head of Subdivision. Partnership, Research and Innovation, (Sainuddin, S.T.) received a visit from a group of lecturers and students from the Palopo State Islamic Institute (IAIN). The activity took place starting at 10.00 WITA at the NTFP Innovation Center, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Kampung Rimba, Makassar, Monday (14/11/2022).
IAIN Palopo visited the NTFP Innovation Center with the aim of seeing and studying what activities were carried out by lecturers and students at the Faculty of Forestry Unhas at the innovation center which had the potential to be used as a business to support IAIN to become a State University with Legal Entity (PTN-BH).
During this visit, the Coordinator of the NTFP Innovation Center, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Dr. Ir. Baharuddin, M.P. explain to IAIN Palopo lecturers and students the types of businesses that have the potential to be developed and support research and learning.
“Mushroom cultivation and honey bee processing are businesses that we are currently developing and managing at the Non-Timber Forest Products Innovation Center. “Not only is it a business, it is also a research and learning material for students,” explained Dr. Baharudin.
Dr. Baharuddin said that he hoped that the IAIN Palopo campus could establish an innovation center and could become one of the campuses included in the Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH).
The IAIN Palopo delegation was accompanied by a team of Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, Alumni and Information Systems at Hasanuddin University.
